Richmond business owners began their April workshop series on Wednesday, April 4.
A joint initiative between the Nelson Tasman Business Trust and Richmond Unlimited, the series has been established to arm Richmond retailers with the necessary tools to keep their businesses thriving during the Queen St upgrade.
The series kicked off with Gina Munro’s presentation on Business Interruption Strategies to build Resilience. Trust manager Sarah Holmes says the presentation resulted in good discussion and ideas for building networks, staff engagement and dealing with unexpected events.
Gina’s presentation emphasised the value in collaborating with other local businesses for support, and sharing resources and marketing initiatives.
Pleased with the feedback, Sarah says, “everyone enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with other local businesses away from the day to day and learn more, and are looking forward to the other talks.”
Next week’s speaker Bill Brett will cover Financial Management with following weeks on Marketing with Monique Wijnen and Social Media with Bea Pole Bokor.
The workshops are a result of collaboration by the Business Trust and their business mentors, Richmond Unlimited, Richmond Mall’s venue, Ambrosia and the Wooden Spoon for refreshments.

Spread the love.
