History learning with lots of fun is what children and adults will be able to enjoy on Saturday and Sunday, 5 and 6 October, at the Higgins Heritage Park, at Pigeon Valley. The ‘Transport Show’ will be from 10am to 4pm and the visitors will check out all sorts of vintage, classic, military and modern transport.

“We will be taking those that want to go for a ride,” says Tony Steenhart, owner of a 1942 Willys G military jeep that will be available at the show. “We liked the wind in our eyes,” says 10-year old Sabian Oulsnam, who enjoyed a demonstration ride on the military jeep with his 6-year old brother Lucian Oulsnam.

The 1942 Willys G military jeep and other old vehicles will be available for kids’ rides and demonstrations. The visitors of the ‘Transport Show’ will also be able to enjoy some Irish music and dancing, food, drinks, raffles, silent auction and craft stalls.
The entrance fee for adults is $5, for children it is $2 and for the whole family (two adults, two children) is $10.
