For the past 12 months, the Waimea Weekly has been providing history stories regularly and feedback from readers is to keep the stories coming.
We’re keen to continue providing what our readers are keen for and we’re looking for a group of people interested in helping us out with that task.
If you’re a budding history buff, a researcher, or someone who enjoys sharing facts and would like to share local history with our readers on a regular basis, then please get in touch.
We don’t require an expert in history or writing. Instead, someone who has an interest in history and is happy to do the research to cobble together the basis of an article. The paper can provide support as required to finalise the articles for the paper and you’ll join a group of like-minded history buffs.
The information gathered as a result of the research is sought after by many and successful individuals will be helping to ensure that the local history continues to be passed onto our 12,000 readers. A fee will also be paid.
Please email: firstname.lastname@example.org with your interest.
