Do you want to make a real and positive difference for your community? Are you able to smile when things get tough? Are you enthusiastic and committed? Do you have a desire to learn new skills and work with a great team? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you could be the one who the Nelson Tasman Civil Defence Emergency Response Team (NZRT2) is looking for.

The team is promoting an Open Recruitment Night on Monday, 7 October at 6:30pm, at the Civil Defence Building (John Wesley Lane) in Richmond. Just turn up and meet the team.

NZRT2 is a group of volunteers from all walks of life and they train three times a month.

They are available for emergency responses under the umbrella of the Nelson Tasman Civil Defence Emergency Management Group. They are seeking both frontline and team support roles. All aspects of the training required are provided.

The NZRT2 team has previously been deployed to assist with local and national emergency events, such as the Canterbury, the Kaikoura earthquakes, the Cyclone Gita and the Tasman Fires. Make a difference locally and join up. More information is available on the team’s Facebook page: NZRT-2.

Spread the love.
