The Murchison Rugby Football Club (RFC) hosted the first Valley Stags prize-giving on Saturday, August 4.

This is the first year of a partnership between Tapawera, Rangers and Murchison Football Clubs, with their collaborative team, Valley Stags.

Murchison RFC awarded Tony Peacock and Peter Brooks with life memberships at the event.

Rebecca Moore club secretary says, “Murchison RFC is very proud to award blazers to new Life Members, Tony Peacock and Peter Brooks, at the Valley Stags prize-giving. Both men have been huge supporters to our club and our players and represented our club on the field and off over the years.”

Hamish McLeod received the award for Most Improved Player. Matt Peacock won the award for Most Improved Back and Jamie Davis won Most Conscientious Player. Cameron Nott won two trophies that night, he was voted the player’s, Player of Year as well as overall Player of the Year.

Rebecca wanted to extend a huge thanks to the Valley Stags sponsors for coming on board with the new concept.

Spread the love.
